The Alabama Real Estate Market Trends blog has released it’s update and report for 2011 Birmingham Real Estate.
The Birmingham market in 2011 was about even with 2010, which is considered positive due to the years of decline before that. Sales for 2012 are predicted to increase over 7%.
For the the month of December, the average days on market for used houses — the number of days it takes a house to sell on the market on average — was 141 days, or a bit under 5 months.
Inventory of houses remains high. The high inventory indicates that sellers, including bank owned properties, are still holding out for higher prices. If the home is not selling, reduce the price, particularly since we are in the slower sales season of the year!
If you are unable to sell your property on the market, or cannot afford the time and expense of fixing it up, be sure to call us at 205-390-1050 or log on to www.WeBuyBham.com and tell us about your house via our simple form.
We buy houses in Birmingham AS-IS on the date of your choice.
