There are many benefits to a renter in doing a rent-to-own program for a home. Some of these benefits include the following:
– You can move into the house you want to buy right away, rather than having to wait years in a small apartment or other living space while trying to build your credit, etc.
– You can move into the house with an initial down payment that is smaller than what you would otherwise have to put down for a mortgage. The down payment on the option to buy is typically about 3%, and is applied towards the purchase price!
– You work side by side with an experienced mortgage broker and credit specialist who will find you the perfect mortgage product to purchase the home with.
– If you decide you need more time, the option-to-buy period and lease term can be extended.
